This morning, the Village of Johnsburg Public Works, Johnsburg School District 12, McHenry Township Fire Department, and the Johnsburg Police Department were given an opportunity to drive their equipment through the intersection. The Johnsburg Road Roundabout construction is coming to a close as final installation of the brick paver areas, landscaping, and road striping are completed over the next week. Please visit our website later next week for the project's final completion date and information on the roundabout's ribbon cutting ceremony.Read more
The final asphalt surface for the roundabout has been installed today. Next week the landscapers will be on-site installing brick pavers, sod, and plantings near the roundabout.
Please note that the intersection is still closed to all traffic until the first week of September.Read more
Paving the remainder of the Johnsburg Road project will be completed in the next week. Construction crews will also be installing topsoil and large intersection light poles around the roundabout. Please keep in mind that the intersection continues to remain closed to motorists.Read more
As we enter into our last month of the project, the new brick paver streetscape, stamped concrete areas, and other decorative fixtures are beginning to be installed. Construction in the upcoming week will include work paving St. Johns Avenue, sections of Chapel Hill Road, and the completion of major concrete items.Read more
